Jonathan Edwards Winery Wedding – Kerry and Rob

On October 20, Kerry and Rob were married at Jonathan Edwards Winery in Stonington, CT. I was so honored to be working with Anna Sawin of Anna Sawin Photography as her second shooter on this beautiful winery wedding. When they were married Kerry and Rob lived in New York City, they have since moved to Portland, ME, having fallen in love with New England.

The morning of the wedding, I arrived at the hotel to photograph the groom and his groomsmen. I love the photo of Rob’s dad reflected in the mirror. They were obviously close. I also love the shot of them walking down the hall in the hotel… it looks like Rob was getting some last minute fatherly advice.

The trolley arrived for the men and we headed over to this glorious house that the family had rented for the wedding. It was gorgeous! Right on the water and such a fabulous location for the first look and bridal party photos. I was able to get a few of Kerry as she finished getting ready. I love the photo of her walking down the stairs and the turn around of her Dad and the bridesmaids waiting for her.

After, It was finally time for the first look. We set Rob up so Kerry could come up behind him. Their reactions were perfect and what made it even better was the stack of bridesmaids looking through the door. What a great moment! This is why I love second shooting, I knew Anna was focused on the couple, so I could capture all those peeking bridesmaids.

After some wedding party photos we headed out to the winding roads of Stonington, CT to photograph the couple surrounded by the gorgeous fall foliage.

Then we headed to the church where they enjoyed a beautiful ceremony. I love the touching image of Rob’s dad getting emotional.

Finally we headed over to winery where we photographed Kerry and Rob out in the vines and near the beautiful stone wall on the property. Everyone was treated to warm apple cider in their personalized mason jars. The sherry tent was decorated beautifully and the mason jar candles hung all around.

Kerry and Rob’s reception was filled with laughter and dance. This wedding was filled with so many little moments and I loved every one of them.
